Background
Nigel Cheverton is a programme director with over 25 years’ experience in managing projects and programmes.
Nigel applied for chartered accreditation, providing personal and external recognition of his capability and adherence to professional practice.
Nigel chose Provek’s specialist support to provide personal coaching and mentoring throughout his written application and interview.
Why did you decide on applying for chartered accreditation/what does it mean to you?
To validate my accomplishments and achieve the ChPP accolade. The business also wants to ensure the programme management teams follow and achieve formal PM qualifications.
Why did you choose Provek chartered specialist support?
I had previously used Provek for the PQ delivery and was impressed with calibre of their delivery. The ChPP process is a significant amount of work and commitment, thus I wanted to ensure and have validated my efforts throughout the process.
What did you find most useful in the support you received during writing your application form?
For me it was reflection. In programme management we often don’t effectively consider and reflect on projects, their outcomes and achievements. The Provek specialist coach (Tony) one-to-one mentoring really helped me review and focus.
What did you find most useful in the interview preparation support?
The mock interview session was particularly useful. This allowed to prepare for the pace and content of the actual panel interview.
Would you recommend this Provek training to another ChPP applicant (if yes, why)
Yes, providing the candidate has completed all the required content, with the Provek support, you will be well placed for success in achieving chartered ChPP status.
