How did the interview preparation help?
Practicing the interview and gaining guidance from an experienced ChPP coach was invaluable.
Knowing what is going to be in the mind of the interviewers, the format, the quick fired pace and understanding that the interviewers have 24 questions to ask on specific mandatory competence criteria, gave me opportunity to practice focusing in on the most succinct and powerful way to respond within the time limit.
The time constraint on answering each question certainly focuses the mind on how best to pitch responses to properly evidence each competence criteria.
There is no substitute for practicing the interview under representative conditions and it made no sense to go through the interview without any preparation when your ChPP pass or fail critically depend on success at the interview.
