The Provek APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) – formerly known as Introductory Certificate (IC) Book provides a comprehensive set of training material for the Association for Project Management’s Project Fundamentals Qualification. It aligns with the APM Body of Knowledge 6th edition and is designed to act as both course material and as a handy reference guide beyond the exam.
The book is divided into 12 units which cover the 10 PFQ syllabus learning outcomes and their 59 individual assessment criteria. Each unit states which assessment criteria are covered within it and includes a comprehensive narrative and a set of sample exam questions with answers.
In addition to each unit there is a set of the most commonly used project management templates and practical workplace tips. Although this book is not intended to lay out a series of sequential steps of how to manage a project it is arranged with a logical life cycle flow in mind and the author hopes that the material will contribute to the pursuit of excellence in project management.
