APM PFQ two-day classroom

Course overview

Provek's two-day classroom course will enable delegates to attain the level of competence required to pass the Association of Project Management (APM) Project Fundamentals BoK7 Qualification (PFQ). The one-hour multiple choice exam is taken at the end of the second day.

Course specification

Who should attend:

Project team members, project planners, project office staff, project coordinators, junior or inexperienced project managers, work package leads and any staff new to project management who require a broad insight in to project management principles and best-practice.

Duration:

Two days.

Timings:

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day

Examination:

One-hour examination of 60 multiple choice questions.

This is scheduiled for 1pm on the day after training has completed (this can be an alternative time for inhouse courses – please discuss with your Provek account manager).

Venues:

Face-to-face is not currently available for public courses.

For in-house single client courses this event is held at the client selected venue.

Dates:

Course style:

The course is tutor-led classroom style with participative exercises, case studies and revision questions.

Pre-course study:

Approximately five hours.

Pre-requisites:

None. However, some project experience is an advantage.

Qualification details

APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) – formerly known as Introductory Certificate, is designed for those embarking on a project management career or for individuals who require recognition for their general project management knowledge and awareness.

The course is based upon the Association for Project Management’s Body of Knowledge 7th edition and covers the syllabus for the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification examination. The course covers a wide range of topics at a summary level thus providing attendees with a broad understanding of project management terminology, basic techniques and the people and skills required to successfully manage a project. The one-hour examination is taken at the end of the course.
